Advanced Open Water Diver

Advanced Open Water Diver is all about building real experience — more comfort, better control, and more options for the kinds of dives you can enjoy. With Franz’s concierge-style training, you’ll complete five Adventure Dives that sharpen your skills and expand your confidence in a focused, private setting.

What You’ll Do

You’ll complete two required dives — Deep and Underwater Navigation — then choose three additional Adventure Dives based on what you’re excited to learn and what’s available locally (for a total of five).

Required Adventure Dives

• Deep Dive: Learn procedures and planning for deeper recreational dives (within training limits).
• Underwater Navigation: Improve compass use and natural navigation so you move with purpose underwater.

Choose 3 More (Examples)

Options vary by environment and conditions. Popular choices include: Peak Performance Buoyancy, Night, Wreck, Drift, Digital Underwater Photography, Fish Identification, Search & Recovery, Underwater Naturalist, Enriched Air Nitrox (Adventure Dive), and more.

Prerequisites

• Certification: Open Water Diver (or qualifying entry-level certification)
• Minimum age: 12+ (Junior), 15+ for full Advanced Open Water Diver
• Health: Be fit to dive (medical questionnaire may apply)

Depth & Limits

• Ages 15+: Maximum depth up to 30m / 100ft
• Ages 12–14: Maximum depth up to 21m / 70ft
